Can photographs capture the real essence of your special day? They look wonderful on the fireplace but can you hear the laughter, see your parents wiping away the odd tear and what about the embarrassment of the best mans speech?
A video can capture all of these moments and most importantly the vows themselves. What could be nicer than re living the exchange of your vows to each other over and over again. Don't worry about feeling awkward because of the cameras, our camera operatives are very discreet and you will soon forget they are there and you can get on with enjoying your day.
Servicing the Leeds/Bradford and surrounding West Yorkshire area Pancake Wedding Video Productions work differently from most videographers in that we always shoot our weddings with two camera operatives. This enables a more visually interesting video. For example, we can have one camera at the front shooting the nervous reactions of the groom while the other would be outside capturing the last words the bride says before she walks down the aisle. These two cameras are then skillfully edited together to achieve a smooth flowing production of your big day. This service is included in the price and does not come as an "optional extra".
Pancake will endeavor to be present at your rehearsal in order to check out camera positions, lighting etc. and to introduce ourselves to the church officials prior to the big day so that any potential technical problems can be resolved prior to the wedding day.
We then fade into your church to show all floral decorations and the architecture of the venue before venturing back outside to capture your guests arriving. If you require a home visit these shots would be added at this stage. One cameramen will take the shots of the bridesmaids leaving etc. The other cameraman will be based at the church recording their arrival.
Both cameraman will be on hand to catch the bride arriving and whilst official photographs are taken one cameraman will position himself near the front of the aisle to capture the brides walk down. Camera two will stay to capture the last words of the brides conversation as a single person before walking down the aisle.
The entire ceremony will be filmed with two cameras usually with one at the back and one at the front*.
The signing of the register and the walk back down the aisle will be recorded. One camera will then stay with you while camera two will be taking informal shots of your guests.
These two completely different views are skillfully edited together to create one smooth flowing production.
After we have shot your departure from your ceremony venue we will endeavor to capture your arrival at the reception venue.
All lineups will be filmed along with other informal guest shots. We will then retire for you to enjoy your wedding meal before returning to record all speeches and the cutting of the cake.
The video would end with slowed down footage of the highlights of the day with "your song" playing in the background
We will never ask anyone to pose for shots as our philosophy is that we will capture what happens on the day but will not direct what happens on the day.
Of course this format is only a guideline and can be altered if required. If this is the case we will do our utmost to accommodate your requests
*Church approval is always required regarding camera positions and can not be guaranteed.
Our normal fee is £599.00 for the most popular type of wedding video. This would include the arrival of your guests and bridal party , the full ceremony, the reception including lineups, cutting of the cake and the speeches. Of course if you require just the ceremony and not the reception then this would be far cheaper. All costs are fixed at the quoted price upon booking regardless of any future price increases.
Below is a list with all costs broken down. Each production includes 2 double volume DVDs with childhood photographs at the beginning (if required) and a slow motion montage showing highlights of the day at the end.

This demonstration will last for approximately 30-40 minutes, after which we will show you the packaging, and answer any other questions you may have.
We think it is extremely important to meet "face to face" with the people who will film your wedding. You should feel at ease with them around on your big day. For this reason we do not post out promotional videos but like to take this opportunity to introduce ourselves.
The whole visit will last no longer than 40-45 minutes.
We then leave for you to make your decision. We never pressure you into any commitment and in fact recommend that you view other wedding videos before reaching your decision. You are under no obligation whatsoever by asking for a demonstration. However, in order to avoid disappointment we must point out that summer wedding dates are extremely sought after and most summer dates are booked well over a year in advance. All dates are booked on a first come first served basis.
Please note the day can not be reserved until a £100.00 deposit has been received.
When a deposit is paid the date is booked in your name and no other inquires for this date will be entertained. We will contact you again approximately 1 month before the wedding to inquire about the rehearsal date and time and for general reassurance. We also pick up your photographs for transferal to video at the rehearsal along with any soundtracks you would like to include.
